A passport is not required for U.S. cruises that begin and end in the same U.S. port. However, you must carry government-issued identification, which can be either (a) a valid passport, or (b) proof of citizenship (see options below) AND a government-issued photo ID.

Accepted documents for Proof of Citizenship:

• State-certified U.S. birth certificate (Note: Baptismal papers, hospital certificates of birth, and Puerto Rico birth certificates issued before 7/1/10 are not accepted)
• Original certificate of U.S. naturalization
• Original certificate of U.S. citizenship
• U.S. Consular Report of Birth Abroad
• Enhanced Driver’s License (only available in Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington)
• Valid passport card

Norwegian Cruise Line strongly recommends that all guests obtain a passport for their cruise vacation, for the following reasons:

• If you miss the ship at its scheduled U.S. departure port and need to travel outside the U.S. to rejoin it, a passport is required to fly internationally.
• If you need to depart the ship early from a foreign port, a passport is required for international air travel.
• International ports of call can change their requirements unexpectedly and may require all guests to have a valid passport to go ashore.

If one or more passengers cancel, the rates for remaining occupants may increase. Should your booking be canceled after the initial payment, cancellation fees may apply, including additional fees from the cruise line. All taxes and government fees are subject to change at any time. If final payment is not received by the due date, the cruise line may cancel your reservation. NCL offers two deposit options:

• Refundable Deposit: $250 per cabin.
• Non-Refundable Deposit: $150 per cabin, with NCL matching an additional $150 for a total of $300 towards the cost of your cruise.

Additional funds applied beyond the deposit are fully refundable until the final payment date. After this date, penalties apply based on room type and the following schedule:

For Interior, Oceanview, Balcony, and Club Balcony Rooms:

• 119-91 Days: 25% Penalty
• 90-61 Days: 50% Penalty
• 60-31 Days: 75% Penalty
• 30 Days or Less: 100% Penalty

For Haven Suites, Suites, and Garden Villas:

• 119-106 Days: 25% Penalty
• 105-91 Days: 50% Penalty
• 90-61 Days: 75% Penalty
• 60 Days or Less: 100% Penalty
